Paul GELLER
VP COMMUNICATIONS & PUBLIC POLICY
Before joining PositivEnergy Paul built companies at the nexus of media, tech and government for more than two decades. He's an experienced brand marketer, digital strategist and public policy advocate. He lobbied Congress and the White House during the music streaming wars that culminated in the Internet Blackout of 2012 and served on the small team that built the digital strategy for Mike Bloomberg's 2016 presidential exploration. As the EVP of Public Policy at internet streaming giant, Grooveshark, he represented the company in front of legislative and congressional bodies in the US and abroad. He’s also served as the Managing Director for Engine Advocacy, a SF-based startup policy, advocacy and research foundation where he worked with government affairs teams at Uber, AirBNB, Google, Samsung and more than 100 others to advocate for policies that foster innovation at the national and state level. In 2012 he served as member of the Audio Board for the Consumer Technology Association, producer of CES.
Outside of politics, Paul’s held a number of senior level positions including SVP, EVP and C-level roles at national and international brands, was a pioneer in building the earliest digital solutions for the real estate market in the early 2000s and sold IP to Live Nation and other notable international firms.
