Johns Hopkins UNIVERSITY

Johns Hopkins University enrolls more than 24,000 students and is America’s first research university. The school conducts research, patient care, and education at 1,300 sites in more than in 154 countries.

JHU had been working with a number of partners to troubleshoot a power quality issue for years. High voltage scientific equipment was causing blackouts across mission-critical systems, sometimes resulting in corrupted experimental data and destroyed biological / chemical materials.

The PositivEnergy engineering team was able to identify the source of the power quality issue and will now deploy a custom-spec 6MWh energy storage solution that will ensure mission critical research facilities receive consistent, safe, reliable power.
