Future-ready DC fast charging for Duke University's electric fleet.

PositivEnergy partnered with Duke University to design and deploy critical DC fast charging infrastructure, replacing end-of-life chargers and supporting the university's growing electric fleet with scalable, reliable capacity.

Duke University electric fleet charging infrastructure

Duke University's Transit and Fleet Department was approaching end-of-life for its existing Proterra charging infrastructure while also preparing to integrate four new electric buses. The university needed additional charging capacity and a reliable, future-ready solution to support fleet expansion without disrupting operations.

PositivEnergy partnered with Duke University to design and deploy critical DC fast charging infrastructure, including a 120kW charger with dual dispensers and a 180kW charger with three dispensers. Delivered between May 2025 and March 2026, the solution ensures sufficient capacity, operational reliability, and scalability to support Duke's growing electric fleet.
